Relocation Info
Maybe I take Ventura County for granted. That is possible since I moved here with my family as a small child and have lived here most of my life. VC is unique and there are several ‘things’ that you might want to want if you are thinking of moving here. So here goes:
- Famous climate. It is described as a Mediterranean climate - the best in the world!
- Safe cities- Ventura County has cities ranked at the top of the safest cities in the nation with population of 100,000+
- Home of Ronald Reagan and Air Force One
- Located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara Counties and connected by “Ventura Highway”
- Festivals to celebrate the agriculture - strawberries and citrus
- Ten cities are located within Ventura County
- Home to two U. S. Navy bases - Point Mugu and Port Hueneme
- Santa Ana Winds and June gloom. Enough said.
- To name a few — Amgen, Baxter, Countrywide, Dole, Proctor & Gamble, Blue Cross….
- CA State University Channel Islands and Cal Lutheran + three community colleges
- Close enough to Los Angeles but far enough away.
We would love to have your additions. What do you find unique about Ventura County? What would you tell someone who was relocating here about the area? Your comments would be appreciated.
