This week we are featuring the bank-owned homes both in the Conejo Valley (Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake, Agoura, and Oak Park) and Camarillo. 

The Conejo Valley has a total of 27 single family homes currently on the market that have been taken back by the lender and are now on the market.  There are 18 attached properties currently on the market in the Conejo Valley that are lender owned.   

Camarllo has a total of 14 single family homes currently on the market that are real estate owned by a bank.  There are 6 attached properties currently on the market in Camarillo that are lender owned. 

There are 929 properties on the market in the Conejo Valley and only 45 currently on the market are bank-owned properties.  The total number of properties on the market in Camarillo is 313 and only 20 of those properties are bank owned.   What is that – about 5%? 

If you listened to the news, you would think that every other house on the market was owned by the bank.  It is not so.  So much of what we hear in the news snippets has a broad appeal.  Real estate is localized.  Get the facts.  The news sells fear so you will turn in to watch or buy the paper.  The REOS are a very small percentage of overall total of the properties offered for sale. 

What you will find amazing is how these properties cover the gamut of price ranges from a one-bedroom condo to properties over $1,000,000.
